What Causes A Popping Sound In Mouth While Opening It Wide?
upon on occasion, usually when I open my mouth widely, I get a pop sound in the left corner of my mouth, and then I get like a crackling sound when I move my jaw to chew or yawn, and it usually lasts for a while then goes away the next day over night. until I open my mouth too wide too many times and cause it to happen again. There is no pain or discomfort at all with the pop sound or the crackling sound. just annoying to hear it while its happening. some people have told me this can be caused by ear wax build up, which I have had to have my ears cleaned out before. Can you better explain what im experiencing please
Depends on where exactly the popping is and the nature of it. BUT, the most common one is in the joints connecting bones. This occurs exactly like the popping of soda with the high amount of carbon dioxide in tissue fluids coming out and popping when movement of the joints changes the pressure in the fluid. This is going to be more with low barometric pressure. There are other types of popping but you don't have it. There is rubbing of a rough tendon over a bone which sounds like pearls rolling over the edge of a table. There's popping that is grinding from broken off pieces rattling in a joint. You would have mentioned the severe pain that occurs with this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
