What Causes A Prominent Vein On Forehead?

I have noticed, for many months, a fairly prominent vein on the right side of my forehead, running diagonally out toward the ear. I did have a small stroke in May 2013, and have lost 35 lbs, and for the most part, controlled my bp since. All my blood tests have come back normal, including recently. My sugar and cholesterol are very good. Does this sound like something to be concerned about?

*This is physiological prominence in concern with non-specific / exercise
induced hypercirculation of particular tributary of vein
- occasionally there is other reaons where loss of skin elasticity , proximal or
distal blockage but in later cases there are alarming other symptoms
