What Causes A Pungent Smell In The Urine?
Hi ..... I have experienced a pungent smell in my urine for some time now. Its not always that I can smell it. Its not an ammonia smell just pungent. When I go to the toilet it takes me a bit longer to completely pass water as it seems my urethra is only small and then sometimes I think ive finished but if I try I can pass a bit more. I have been told I have a cystocele if that makes any difference and I had a hyterectomomy approximately 11 years ago. I am 66. Thank you for your reply, Marilyn

It is the retained urine inside the urinary bladder due to cystocele which is provoking secondary bacterial infection and smelly urine.
You must get evaluated with an expert urosurgeon for its correction and get life time cure.
