What Causes A Pus Filled Bump On The Leg?

There was a bump on the back of my leg looking like a pimple or a bug bite (did not itch) and it was hurting for a day. I tried squeezing it the first time but nothing came out. A day later, I squeezed it and a lot of white puss started coming out of it. The following morning when I thought all the puss was out I squeezed it again and hard white puss stuck out but when I pulled it because wiping it with tissue didn't help, a string of white stuff came out. What is this?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You are probably having a boil or a furuncle. Do warm water compresses of the area twice and apply a topical antibiotic like mupirocin. Also a course of oral antibiotic would help in faster resolution.
Do not manipulate or squeeze the lesion as it might cause spread of infection.
Hope this helped.
Take care
