What Causes A Raised Mole Appear Between Vagina And Anus?

HI, I've notice that I have a raised mole on the inside of my butt cheek and VERY close to my perineum (area between the vagina and anus). It does not itch,bleed,and is not painful. I believe it has been there for while. Is this something that a dermatologist needs to see? Could it be Cancerous? What do I need to know?
