What Causes A Rapid Heart Rate And Whooshing Sound In Ear?

I experienced rapid heartbeat over a number of hours last night, and it felt like my heart was flopping around periodically. Also, I have noticed a whooshing sound in my ear, like a heartbeat but more whoosing noise, particularly at night. Today, I feel tired (probably lack of sleep) and kind of weak. Do I need to be concerned, or could this be related to my IBS?

It is not related to IBS. If the symptoms are severe, better to consult a cardiologist and get evaluated.
