What Causes A Rash Around The Area Of Dog Bite?

I got a dog bite 8 days ago and a couple days ago. Then a rash appeared and started to surround the bite. i stopped using the neosporin ointment and it went down, but if i start to itch near it, it flares up. It just wont go away. what can i do?

Hello,
It could be from the neosporin. A lot of people are allergic to that. However, if it is red and there is pus it may be infected. If so, see a doctor right away for medications
