Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently acquired a band-like rash around the left side of my lower waist that extends to around my back and through my public hair region. I am not in pain but there is a pain on the far left side of my lower waist and there is some pain in this region when I cough. I experienced no accident of any kind nor was I hit anywhere. One doctor originally thought it was shingles but another doctor called it bruising.
Thank you for your question. Well, you have some kind of rash around the left waist. If so, what kind of rash is that? Do you notice any vesicles, ulceration or colour changes from time to time? You'd better describe your residence region, for some diseases that are to think of priority in that region. Pain can be present in case of shingles. Brusing can change colour from time to time, with no vesicles nor bullae. Any associated fever or other symptoms? Do you have any significant medical history, such as bleeding disorders, infections, diabetes mellitus etc.. I'd be very thankful if you mention these more, so that I can give a more detailed advice. Thank you so much. Have a nice day.
