What Causes A Rash On The Chest?

I have a rash on my chest from belt line to upper chest. I first noticed it about 1 month ago. I have also located it in the center of my lower back. I have tried Caladryl, with no changes. My wife thought it might be a heat rash, however I do not. I live in Puerto Rico, a very humid tropical climate. ???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think it would be better if you attach a photo in reports for me to see the rash and to help me through diagnosis.

I think this rash may probably be a fungal infection of the skin. You can use Lamisil or Cotrimoxazole cream over it to make it heal. Also, wash well area and dry it well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
