What Causes A Rash On The Neck While On Prednisone And Doxycycline?
I have had a cough for several weeks now. It went into my chest and my Dr prescribed me 5 days of prednisone along with doxycycline. I finished my prescriptions and am still not well. Tonight I got a rash on my neck and chest. Haven t changed soaps or done anything different. Still feeling sick, extremely tired, and the cough and congestion is still present.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. This may be reaction on Doxycline and it should pull back soon after discontuniation of the medicine. If there are no breathing difficulties and fever then there is no need to be worried. You can apply synopen cream and see what happens. In future ,you should do allergic tests on antibiotics. I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
