General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Possibility of STD or local infection does exist so TORCH screen is recommended. However it should be reviewed by a dermatologist or a gynecologist to rule out any local infection like candida or clymydia.

The discharge may be sent for cultures as well as microscopy. Treatment would be according to the cause but avoid unprotected sex during this interval.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
