What Causes A Rattling Sensation In The Chest?
Hi. . I am a 60-year-old male with no chronic conditions and am in great physical condition. I do, however, have a rattling in my chest and can, if I try, cough up a little mucous or something like that. Otherwise, it just seems to rattle when I breathe. Thanks! David

It might be a mucus plug.
As of now you can try mucolytics like Mucinex for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persists better to consult a pulmonologist and plan for an X-ray.
