What Causes A Recurrent Lump On Left Side Of The Neck?

I have a lump on the left side of my neck that comes and goes, it seems to flow with my cycle. I had it checked out a few years ago and the physician said that it could be aspirated but it would just come back again. Most of the time you can barely feel it but around the time I should be ovulating it comes back and I can visibly see it, what should I do moving forward?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be an enlarged lymph node.

Consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan.

If the swelling persists better to go for a fine needle biopsy to make a diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
