What Causes A Red Lump In The Pelvic Area?

i have a red lump on the right side of my pelvic area. It is about a half an inch long and circular. When touched it hurts kind of like a pimple. I ve had it for around 3 days now. It hasn t grown . My question is what could it be and could it possibly be a tumor?
