What Causes A Red Numb Spot On The Corner Of The Lip?

I have had a sore throat for a few days with bright red spots, but today it was feeling pretty good but now I have a red long gated red spot that feels a little numb and runs along the inside of one corner of my lip about 1-2 inches. No fever. Any ideas?

Hi,

As per your complain an elongated red numb spot on the inside of cheek can be due to inflammation that can occur due to causes like burning with hot foods and chemicals while cheek bite can also be a cause. It can also be due to any medicine side effect. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help. As of now you can gargle with warm saline solution. You can take Vitamin B complex capsule daily. Avoid hot and spicy food.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
