What Causes A Red Painful Bump On The Shoulder Blade?
I have had this bump on my back, right on the inner edge of my shoulder blade, for over half a year. In the past week, though, it has turned painful with swelling and redness. It has even caused me to feel run down, with other body aches, and feverish. Is this a boil or a cyst? And what should I do for it?

The currently narrated changes in the bump suggest acute inflammation via infection in the previously existing lump which can be sebaceous cyst or else.
The clinical examination with consultant surgeon will determine the mode of therapy as surgery or medicines can cure it or not.
