What Causes A Red Rash On The Knee Along With Sore Throat?

I dropped a blood pressure pill in a hotel room sink. Without thinking, I rinsed the pill off and took it. I can t believe I did that! However, I had 2 spots on my both knees that looked like bug bites. I was in Hawaii and got out in the sun. I developed a red sunburn-like patch on my right knee. I then got a sore throat, headache, runny nose and cough. Now, I am taking a Z-Pak and have a rash. I have taken a Z-Pak in the past with no problem.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The use of the anti hypertensive meds after you washed it , should be fine.

The sore throat, headache, runny nose and cough are likely due to a viral infection, this is the most common cause.
Though antibiotics can be required if a bacterial infection occurs, in most cases it is viral and the over use of the antibiotics (only if not needed), can make a person become antibiotic resistant.

I hope this helps
