What Causes A Red Sore Spots Between The Forehead And Ear?

I think I was bitten by a spider or insect last night. I had a slightly red ,sore spot near my hairline and now I seem to have a few more near my hairline between my forehead and my ear...very tender. It almost feels like a bruise. What should I do?
