What Causes A Red Spot On The Aurora?
Found a red spot on my aurora today. Doesn t itch or bleed but is tender to touch. Feels like there is a lump or knot under the skin. Almost feels like a boil does before it comes to a head. I wonder if something bit me during the night. I am 60 years old.

As per your case history of the red spot, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching and NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
