Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the red spot on the scalp indicates hematoma formation beneath the skin layers involving subcutaneous tissue.

* Minor level hematomas do resolve with ice application over a period of time.

* If it is of moderate to large size, possibility of infection or expansion is there and hence I personally prefer to prescribe

- antibiotic as penicillin or others
- anti inflammatory with proteolytic enzymes, as bedanzen forte or else.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
