What Causes A Reddish Pink Blotch On Right Inner Thigh /groin Area?

Hi, I have had a reddish pink blotch on my skin on my right inner thigh/ groin area. It is the size of a quarter in a oval shap. it does not stick up above my skin line. it is just flat with the surface of the skin. It does not hurt. also there is a bit of dry skin around the outer edge of the oval shape. I have had it for atleast a year & I noticed another one on my left inner thigh. I am just concerned that itcould be an STD . I am not recently sexually active. However I was a year or so back. What do you think it could be. Have you seen this before?

Thanks, Cory

Thank you for query.it is not clear about the morphology duration symptoms etc.It may be due to fungal infection. Please take following precautions.Use loose cotton clothes.Keep area dry.Apply antifungals like terbinafine which is fungicidal.Once subsides use regularly antifungal dusting powders like candid or absorb powder to prevent recurrence.consult doctor if does not subside. You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
