What Causes A Rough Spot On The Ball Of The Feet?

I ve had calluses on the ball of my feet before. I got that cleared up with the right pair of shoes. Now I have a rough feeling spot on the the ball of my foot. It s not like a calulus. It s more wrinkled looking. It looks dried up and scaley when I don t wear shoes. I have foot odor because of it. Doesn t itch or burn and there s not any pain. My socks are always damp when I take them off but one sock smells a lot worse than the other. I m a thin person. It takes a lot to make me sweat. But my socks are always damp. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You should visit a local doctor as he will examine your foot to make a diagnosis.

Besides, start using antiperspirants powder before wearing socks. Clotrimazole dusting powder may be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi,
