What Causes A Short And Light Menstrual Period?

Hi my last period was 37 days ago & it was short (3 days) and was extremly light brown/tan.. my period is usually the exact oppiste 7days and really heavy..me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex but he pulls out...I just need an opinion before I send money and I'm not pregnant..thanks
