What Causes A Short Menstrual Period?

I have my period every month, but it only last about 2 and a half days,.. I have no symptoms by I have been constantly feeling "Gas Bubbles" in my upper area between my rib cage. I'm not growing at all but I was just curious if this could be unknown pregnancy.
