What Causes A Small Hard Lump On The Anal Opening?
Hi, I have a hard, rice size lump outside of my anus, about half an inch from my anus, it s non colored and doesn t show through the skin, you can kind of move it sound in place but stays where it is, it doesn t hurt, but im slightly worried about what it is, I just went to the doctors a couple days ago for a ruptured internal hemmroid and was inspecting the hemroids when I found this exterior lump.
Lumps in the anal area can be due to many reasons. Hemorrhoids are a common cause of such lesions. When healing hemorrhoids can leave a soft lump. Warts or skin tags or even blocked skin cysts can cause lumps as well.
To determine the cause of the lump, pictures of the lump are necessary or you may choose to have it examined with your doctor to determine the cause and further management.
I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. Let me know if I may assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
