What Causes A Small Lump Inside The Anus And Constipation?

I to have a small pea sized lump just inside my anus and it has no pain but kinda soft but not hard either. I am 52 years old just had a colonoscopy few months ago and was totally clear. I am pretty active hunting fishing etc. I have had a couple of small cases of trace blood when i wipe in the past but my doctoe told me they were small splits hemeeroids but it went away. but just a week ago i was constipated and was straining a lot. I usually never have bowel movement issues I have a doctors appt in a few days but I am scared about what he might say. Your thoughts?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a small lump with slight bleeding along with a previous history of having hemorrhoid and recent history of constipation and straining can be an external hemorrhoid..
You should consult a Proctologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Anoscopy can help in diagnosis to rule out the exact cause of the lump as other causes can be like Warts,abscess, skin tags while on a few cases can be an Anal cancer..
In case if hemorrhoid is diagnosed as the cause then you can be advised Steroid and analgesic creams if there is pain..
Sitz bath that is sitting in a tub of warm water can relieve..
In case of no relief treatment like Rubber band ligation, using Sclerosing agents to perform Sclerotherapy, Cryotherapy or ultimately surgical excision of hemorrhoid known as Hemorrhoidectomy can be done..
