What Causes A Small Lump Near The Scrotum?

I M A MALE AGE 45,,,,,,,WHILE TAKING A WARM SHOWER I WAS CLEANING AROUND MY GROIN AREA AND NOTICED IN BETWEEN THE FOLD(CREASE) OF MY INNER THIGH AND SCROTUM I FELT A SMALL LUMP ALMOST THE SIZE OF MARBLE.......STARTED TO FREAK OUT....ITS NOT ON MY TESTICLES NOR PENIS IT S IN BETWEEN THE THIGH AND THE SMALL POOCH OF PUBIC AREA......someone told me its a hernia????? help

hello there,
A small soft lump can be anything from a cyst or a lipoma or hernia, All of which are fully treatable and do not need worry. It will be advisable for you to visit a general surgeon who will examine the lump and be able to diagnose what it is based on physically examining it. Even if it is a hernia with the size you are describing it will just require minor surgery which will in no way interfere with your sex life. Therefore do visit a surgeon at the earliest.
