What Causes A Small Lump On The External Side Of The Bottom Lip?

I just scheduled an appointment with my son s doctor but just for peace of mine until then.. Hes four and has had a small flesh colored bump on the outside of his bottom lip for a few months. He says it doesn t Hurt.. Its not puss filled or a pimple.. It looks like a skin tag, I used to think it was from him licking his lips and face so much in the winter but it is still there. I read though that the bottom lip isn t a place for a skin tag? Any idea what that could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Concerning a small painless lump at the bottom of your son's lower lip I am suggesting that he has developed a benign tumor

In view of this please see a surgeon specialist for expert clinical assessment and possible surgical resection of the mass or you use podophyllin ointment if there is no need for operation

I hope this helps Regards
