I have gone through your question in detail and can understand your concern..
In case if it is not diagnosed as an
Abscess there are chances that the lump is caused due to trauma to the gums by opposite jaw teeth in case if you have a deep bite or trauma to the gums by some hard food or something else taken in mouth..
It is a result of inflammation in this case and at times if inflammation is not severe there seems to be no pain..
It can also be a apthous ulcer or
canker sore..
Such a small lump will revolve on its own and no treatment is required..
In case if it does not resolve you should consult an Oral Pathologist and get evaluated..
