What Causes A Small Lump On Thigh?

Hello Drs. My grandson has a little smaller than goofball size lump on his left outer thigh that has been present for approximately two weeks. My son is going to take him to doctor but they have no insurance. I m just so worried about it and doing research. Can t seem to find similar on web. He s 20 months old, doesn t seem to be in pain, healthy and thriving otherwise. He had a shot of antibiotic in that spot from what I understand but it was over a month ago, probably closer to two months. We thought that s what caused it but it is not going down. Your help is appreciated. Thank you. Patricia

Probably he has developed lipoma.
Your description matches with it.
It is a benign collection of fat.
Dont worry it is not a serious thing.
The only possible treatment is surgical removal,
