What Causes A Small Opening On Skin With Bleeding On Thigh?

Hi, I looked down at my thigh and noticed that there is a small open hole at the top of my bikini line. It is open and bleeding. It s right on a stretch mark line so it looks like the skin just ripped open because it couldn t stretch any more. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be traumatic due to any scratch or pressure on the skin by tight elastic or fabric cut through superficial skin. It needs external examination and wound care with anti septic. Oral OTC analgesic like acetaminophen can be used. If wound is deep may need stitches so must be reviewed by a medic.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
