What Causes A Smudge Of White In One Corner Of The Gestational Sac?
Hello - I had an ultrasound on 4th April. The gest sac showed 6 weeks, and a smudge of white in one corner of it. Had a repeat scan yesterday, and gestational sac has grown to 7 weeks, there is a fully formed yolk sac and the sonographer has recorded a fetal pole measurement of 3mm, however she seemed very dismissive that there should have been a heartbeat by this point. What are your thoughts? This is my second pregnancy this year - I had a miscarriage in Feb at 5 weeks - no scans. I am 27 and my husband is 36. Thank you.
welcome to Health care magic. 1.It seems like failure this time, as by 7 weeks of G sac there should be cardiac activity. 2.You are having a history of the miscarriage, it seems to me like failure as well, so now you have to get complete hormonal evaluation including thyroid. 3.The cause should be evaluated. 4.Trans vaginal by 5 1/2 weeks and trans abdominal by 6 - 61/2 one should see the cardiac activity. 5.Try ageing after a week and depending on the findings do the needful action. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
