What Causes A Soft Lump Near The Clitoral Hood?

On the side of my Clitoral hood i had a small soft lump of skin, it has been there since i was around 11 years old and now I am nearly 19, and havent had any sexual contact until recently. It has always been completely painless and has never been itchy, but it is significant in size and looks like a growth. It is directly attached to the clitoral hood and I have never seen anything similar anywhere else in the genital area. I was wondering what this could be, I had warts when I was younger on my hands but people have been telling me that they cannot be spread to your genitals, I have also had the HPV vaccine but that was a while after I first noticed the lump.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Warts can develop in genital region or can spread to genital region also.
Soft lump on clitoris can be a wart or sebaceous gland lesion.
A clinical assessment of the lesion is required to know the nature of the lesion.
Excision of the lesion may be curative for the clitorial lesion.
Thus, you need to consult your gynaecologist for clinical assessment and treatment of the lesion.

Thanks and take care
