What Causes A Sore Throat And Headache?
Hi. i m 14 years old and for the past few days i ve had a sore throat off and on, but last night it got worse and its horrible today. my throat is a little red, my nose if stuffy, i have a head ache, but no fever. so i thought i was getting strep. but in the back of my throat, behind my uvula theres this big white bump, in a circle form. it looks like it has a little hole in the middle. it hurts when i swallow , so im guessing it s that? i can sort of feel it move, but i have no idea what this is. im scared. help?

Hi,
I suggest it can be due to ulcer caused while having some hot food touching uvula causing burn. It will be fine within few days. I suggest you to do betadine gargle and salt water gargle. Avoid having too cold food stuffs and hot food stuffs. Take amoxicillin for 3 days. It will be fine within a week or so.
