What Causes A Sore Throat, Loss Of Voice, Swelling And Difficulty In Swallowing?
Female age 70, sore throat, loss of voice, swelling, hard to swallow, strep ruled out by Dr. Hospitilized for tests. Must use note pad to communicate. Symptoms came on suddenly, no nasal problems or ear prob.Lives in Greensboro, NC , No central air or heat ducts.

The symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection.
I would recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen.
I also recommend using throat spray for antibacterial properties.
I suggest drinking liquids and rest.
