What Causes A Sound While Blinking The Eyes?

I have a symptom that seems to be connected to my optic nerve. When I blink my eyes, particularly after having been asleep or reclining, it causes me to hear an electrical sort of light saber sound in my head. I ve had this for quite some time, but it seems like more recently it has been getting more and more prevalent, and quite frankly, it s getting really annoying / nerve-wracking. I wonder if this could be an indication of something going on in my brain that shouldn t be?
