What Causes A Stinging Itchy Sensation On The Vaginal Lips?

hi there,

yesterday i started getting a stinging itchy sensation within my vaginal lips and around the cliteral area all of a sudden which then went away but then it came back last night when i tried to make love with my partner and i had to stop due to this feeling getting worse.

please can you help i have no idea what is going on??
