Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

The experience you have mentioned is known as derealization where one feels something changes in the environment, everything around appears strange and changed, time feels like moving slowly and we feel that we are outside of our body and observe ourselves. Sometimes, this can be due to excess of stress, or it can be due to extreme fatigue or when we are about to fall asleep.

If you don’t get these episodes frequently, then nothing to worry. If you feel a lot of stress or feel unusual things happening around you most of the time then you need to consult a psychiatrist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prashant Gohil
