What Causes A Sudden Drop In Blood Level After A Myomectomy?
Good Morning, I had a myomectomy on 26th march 2016. i got a blood test two weeks ago that showed that my blood was rising at 13:4.. which was great, then a week after i tried to donate blood and it was back to 12.2. could the second test be false. Another issue is i gained 7 kgs after my surgery, how can i lose them safely with out hindering my recovery. Thanks
A slight decrease of hemoglobin is normal after myomectomy. However, the hemoglobin level is still within the normal range and thus no blood transfusions or correction is indicated now.
Conditions like thyroid dysfunction must be evaluated as it can be a reason for weight gain. You can go for a thyroid function test (TFT).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
