What Causes A Swollen Eyelid?

My eyelid is swollen, pink, some pain with a small knot under the skin in the corner of my eye. The eye itself has a small amount of redness, tearing slightly and very little itching. This does not feel like conjunctivitis. I m thinking I may have had a bug bite in my sleep.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could be an insect bite or else it could also be a stye which is a pus collection in the eye. i would advise you to do hot fomentation with a cloth for five times and put some antibiotic Moxifloxacin drops in the eye for the next five days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
