I have a small bite on my forearm. It s more like a pimple/boil. I popped it yesterday and I M now noticing it s very swoll and has a large red ring around it, swollen also. I was thinking brown recluse, but do you have the slightest idea of what it could be?
I understand your concern for the swollen red ring on the forearm.
After analyzing your query I can make out that you have insect bite hypersensitivity. Over and above it you tried to pop it resulting in more inflammation of the area.
I first and foremost suggest you to kindly do not try to even touch the area. It is of very much importance that if the area is touched repeatedly then would get infected and lead to further complications.
In your kind of condition I generally prefer to give a combination cream of Fluticasone or cortisone with an antibiotic such as mupirocin or gentamycin or fucidin over the affected area.
An anti-inflammatory pain killer tablet helps in reducing the pain and swelling at the area. Keep the area dry and do not try to do any home remedies.
All the best.
