What Causes A Tender Lump On The Tailbone?

Hi I have recently noticed a lump on my tailbone with the skin above it very red. It is very tender and sore to sit on. In August 2009 I badly bruised my tailbone and wrenched two lower vertabrae but after physio it heeled fine and i have had no further problems (if that has anything to do with this new tender lump)
