What Causes A Tender Lump On The Upper Arm Post An Injury?

I fell over a boat trailer about a week ago and bruised my upper arm pretty badly. The bruise is starting to fade, but I have a ball that I hadn t felt before today forming under the skin. It is about the size of a pea. It s a bit tender while I have been self examining it. Thanks for asking.

Hello,

The lump is due to the injury. Sometimes, if the injury is severe, the skin fat may get damaged and even the muscle fibers underneath the skin. In this case, lumps may form and they may take a while to go away.
These are not dangerous and do not need specific treatment.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
