What Causes A Throbbing Ache After A Stingray Encounter?

Got stung by a stingray 2 months ago, 9 days later developed an infection which required a course of oral antibiotics, which healed the wound. Now, for the last 2 week, been experiencing a dull throbbing ache at the site of the puncture, in my lateral ankle. Very slight swelling, no redness or warmth. What could this be?

welcome to healthcaremagic.com and I, Dr atishay Bukharia would be answering your question.
the reason behind throbbing pain is nerve damage which is commonly seen after Stingray puncture.
Pregabalin and gabapentin can be used in Chronic and resistant cases.

Hope it helps
