General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You may have soft tissue pain/injury due to the injection, this is a common reaction after receiving an injection. This is due to the inflammatory reaction to the injection.

In most cases, it resolves within 1 to 2 weeks. The use of anti-inflammatory medication would help, e.g. Naproxen, Ibuprofen, Cataflam etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
