What Causes A Tingling Sensation In Hand And Numbness In Fingers?

Hi, I have just had tingling and a pins and needle sensation in my left hand, and my last three fingers are still feeling numb. My hand has turned a lot paler than the right, and I am very worried about this. Can you advise please, whether this is anything to worry about?
