What Causes A Vaginal Area Pinching Sensation?

I'm experiencing a pinching sensation in the vaginal area for about a month. Had a pelvic exam, sonogram with tubing and doc is repeating my HPV since there "were not enough cells." Doctor doesn't know why I experience pinching. I'm menopausal and would love an anwer.
