What Causes A Weird Feeling In The Sternum After After Stretching?

I sometimes experience a feeling best described as a 'shock' to my heart that feels as if it shocks the air from my lungs wilst doing nothing in particular (driving, sitting down, etc) and experience a weird feeling to the left of my sternum (over heart area) after streching. What can this be?
