What Causes A White Ball Like Solid In The Ear Of A Child?
My daughter, 4yrs old, had a realy bad ear infection. The doctor gave me drops and antibiotic. Went away however, took a week and a half. It s been about a month and a half and she still has inside of her ear a white ball, looks solid. It s almost blocking her entire ear canal. Now she her ear is hurting again. What can that ball be? How can we remove it? I m worried that it might be a spider egg nest or something. It looks very unusual. The doctor did not say anything about it when she checked my daughters ear. Please advise.
You are suggested to get your daughter physically examined by an ENT. Keep her away from swimming pools, it can be an ear infection, ear wax or cholesteatoma ear cysts.
If it is Acute otitis media, AOM. She will be treated accordingly. Her treatment will depend on the pathology detected. She needs oral antibiotics, analgesics & antibiotic drops.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
