What Causes A White Patch On And Redness Under The Tongue?

I do chew tobacco and im 17 on the side of my tongue there is a white patch about an inch long and the area below is red and dark it is also red and dark under my tongue I plan on going to dentist sometime to have it looked at could this be oral cancer or am i just paranoid

Hi,
By your history it looks like you are having ?leucoplakia, it is a benign condition, my advice for you is to consult a Ent specialist , if required he might advice you for biopsy to confirm the diagnosis, meanwhile stop eating tobacco since it worsens the condition, take care.
